Website Accessibility
Wenn Townsend is committed to meeting current and future legislative requirements as defined by the UK Government and various legal bodies. Current or future requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act require websites to be compliant. We are pleased to confirm that this website implements many of the standards of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.
A side effect of incorporating such legislation is that we are using standards (including Cascading Style Sheets CSS and XHTML) that have been approved and released after older versions of browsers were released. Where possible, we would encourage visitors with old browsers (pre 2001) to upgrade to the latest versions available (usually free) from the relevant manufacturer as certain functions are not supported and this may affect the full presentation of this website. For example, for visitors who have difficulty using a mouse, this site offers access keys as alternative keyboard shortcut to highlight first level menu options in supporting browsers. Our Firm is [ALT+f], Contact Us is [ALT+o], Information is [ALT+i] etc. The accesskey letter is underlined on the main menu. Internet Explorer will then require you to press the enter key to select that link whilst Navigator 7 will go straight to the page. You can also use the keyboard tab key to move though the menu options . Font sizing is relative. If you require a larger font size for readability, choose the browser text-zoom option where supported.
Text only browsers
This website is also accessible to viewers with a text only browser. When using a text only browser the main menu items will follow the main content section to make your viewing experience more enjoyable.
